Football Frenzy: Prepping Your Restaurant For The Season

Thursday, August 13th, 2015

Football FansThe beloved American football season is fast approaching. Whether or not your restaurant caters to gathering around to watch the game, the game’s spirits are high no matter where you are. To prep your business for the frenzy of football, consider the best ways to prepare food and drink for the season that fans love the most.

Direct Draw Kegerators
Let’s cut to the chase: football and beer are best friends. An effective and efficient way to keep your draft beer cold and on-hand is a direct draw system that keeps your beer on the floor and easily accessible. With some models holding up to five kegs, you can pick the commercial kegerator that suits your business best.

Undercounter Refrigeration
In addition to a draft system, you’ll need convenient storage and refrigeration for your bottled brews as well. Undercounter refrigeration units vary far and wide according to the amount of space you need and the way you’d like to organize your beverages. (more…)

Using Sports-Related Marketing to Your Advantage

Make Your Restaurant the Place for Fans to Gather

Welcome to the start of football season! Now is the time to attract customers to your restaurant with these great sports-related marketing suggestions featured in the article, Why Sports-Related Marketing is a Must for Your Bar or Restaurant.

1. It’s year-roundRegardless of what time of year it is, there’s almost always a sporting event of some type on television. If you go the extra step and choose to show a pay-per-view event, you will attract even more customers that may not want to purchase the event in their own homes.

2. It makes you part of the community If you promote your restaurant as a supportive place for fans to gather after a local high school game, you will gain lots of loyal customers. Or, take it one step further and sponsor a local team!

3. You can attract college fansCollege fans are among some of the most devoted. Entice these loyal fans to watch the game at your restaurant and you can almost guarantee their repeat business week after week. For an added bonus, consider partnering with a local university which will establish your bar or restaurant as the official place to watch the big game.

4. Fans can engage with each otherMake the sports watching experience for your customers interactive by offering sports-themed trivia games during half time.

5. There are endless promotion ideasGet creative and think of all the different ways to tie your promotions into the games. Why not offer a discount for every fan that shows up in a jersey? Or, if the local team scores a certain number of points, free appetizers for everyone!

Pizza Prep Tables
 September 2012

Now that football season is going strong, and school is back in session, there are bound to be many occasions for pizza. Last month we highlighted kegerators. What better to go with your cold beer than a tasty pizza? We will be focusing on pizza prep tables. Some things to be aware of when purchasing your next pizza prep table are: size, layout, and usage.

Pizza prep tables come in a wide variety of lengths, ranging from three feet to nine feet long, so you would need to assess the space that is available to you. There are also a variety of layouts depending upon how many pans you need, and if you prefer a polyethylene cutting board, or a stainless-steel top . Lastly, you need to be aware of your intended usage. Pizza prep tables have the option of drawers with pans in them, or doors with shelves. Most pizza preps are NSF approved as well.

You can shop for pizza prep tables at here.

Fryers: The MVPs of Football Season

Thursday, September 27th, 2012

Pop quiz. What do jelly beans, Kool-Aid, salsa, and Pop-Tarts have in common? If you answered they make for one heckuva late night snack, we could give you partial credit. The real answer, however, is that all of these outlandish snacks have been battered, breaded, and turned into delicious deep-fried treats with fryers.

What better reason to batter and fry everything you can get your hands on than football season? After all, football brings out the some of our best qualities: camaraderie, spirit, and competitive tackling. Might as well include creativity too. If you arm yourself with the correct restaurant equipment, you and your fryer will be the MVPs of every game. Take this Gen2 F5-LP Fryer for example. With a heat range of 200-400 degrees Fahrenheit and a 70-pound capacity, it can take on nearly any frying challenge – including a restaurant teeming with hungry football fans.

Here are our three favorite fried foods to serve at your restaurant’s next football watch party:

1. Chicken-Fried Bacon: You might be thinking one of two things. First, what kind of evil genius thought of such an atery-clogging concoction? Or, hopefully you’re like us and say, that is the most artistic use of a fryer ever conceived. What perfect way to break in my Gen2 fryer. So simple, yet so perfect. Why didn’t I think of it first?

2. Fried Avocado Bites: Because nothing says heart-healthy amino acids and folic acid like a little egg batter and butter. Pop some avocado slices into your fryer, top with a touch of cilantro-lime dipping sauce, and you’ll soon become everyone’s hero.

3. Fried PB&J: Have a special menu for the kiddos (and kids at heart)? Ready-to-order peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will be sure to please even the pickiest eater. But why stop there? Even kids with highly selective pallets deserve the chance to enjoy the bounty of a world-class Gen2 fryer. Fried macaroni and cheese balls, oreos, and cupcakes are sure to keep the pipsqueak population pleased.

What delicacies are you excited to make in your fryer this football season?
